Pool Remodel

A few months ago, the discusting filth of our pool was really bothering my dad. All the rest of our family thought that was a great idea. Right away, the workers started working on the pool. The first man came on October 23, and sucked all the water out of the pool.

We were having a big problem with what the tile color should be. Everybody wanted a different kind. After a long 5 days of trying to find the perfect tile, we picked Venus Turquoise.
This picture is kind of messed up, so it looks better than this picture shows.

First, the workers ripped out the bricks and tiles. Then they put in the NEW grey bricks and the NEW tile. The workers tore out the ground, and put a black coating over it. The next day, about eight workers came and sprayed the pebbletec onto the surface of the pool, and then they smoothed it out.

While the pool was filling up, the family (except for Tanya who was in L.A. for the weekend) bet on what time the pool would fill up to the exact point that my dad marked. We all knew it would be early the next morning, but we didn't know what time. I said 11:00 AM, my mom said 8:00 AM, Sam said 9:00 AM, and my dad said 12:30 PM. We each bet one dollar. My dad thought that my mom and Sam were automatic losers, but he ended up being the "automatic loser". It came to the mark at exactly 10:00 AM, so Sam and I split the bet, one dollar each.

Some creatures we found in the pool were: (people who don't want to be grossed out might want to skip this section)

1. A tarantula

2. A centipede

3. at least 7 baby spiders (most likely the tarantula's) which I don't have a picture for.

Everyone was so glad this got done, and it looks a ton better than it did before!!!

THE FINAL RESULT!!!!!!
